Why Our Church

Nations of Praise SDA Church is a Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The church was established to reach the East African Community in Houston. East Africans share a common language-Swahili. It was established to teach and spread God’s love to all. We believe in building relationships and up-lifting each other spiritually to prepare ourselves for the Second coming of Jesus Christ Our Savior. We also believe in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen!

But all in all, it is an open church ready to welcome everyone. White or black, we are all united by God’s love as His children.

Kanisa la Nations of Praise SDA Church ni kanisa la Kiadventista. Hili kanisa lilianzishwa kueneza injili kwa watu kutoka Afrika Mashariki wanaoishi mjini Houston. Watu wa Afrika Mashariki wanaweza kuwasiliana kupitia kwa lugha ya Kiswahili. Kanisa lilianzishwa na kiini cha kufunza neno la Bwana na kusambaza upendo wa Bwana kwa watu wote. We have a strong sense of community. People and children of all ages here are encouraged to learn about their own faith and the role of the church in our community and worldwide.

OUR MISSION

As a church, our mission is to connect with Christ and help others connect with Him as well by bringing awareness about God’s existence, his grace, His mercy and love that endures forever. For the word of God is living, the word is God and God is alive. If you wish to become a part of our chuch or a volunteer to help those in need, our community is awaiting you with our open hearts.

OUR VISION

Growing our community with love is a vision we have as a church. Loving one another and everyone is following Christ’s words when He said “Love one another as you love yourself”. Living with love is an example we are setting for everyone and for the younger generation to grow with love in their hearts, and spread the love and joy of the Lord in them.
